I attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg Virginia for my undergraduate degree.  I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 2002.  I received a dual masters degree in Community and School Counseling from Radford University in 2005.

I have been a school based counselor since 2002.  I started working for Frontier health and worked in the school system.  I came to work for Hawkins County Schools in 2007.  I have worked with K-12 students, adult education students, alternative schools and many things in between.

I published an article on Self injury in 2004 and have presented at the Virginia Counselor's Association conference.  I am also a certified Child Life Specialist and have worked with terminally and chronically ill children.

I enjoy working with kids and I love being Mrs. Ladybug for the students at SES.
